As long as its not for a title, im good with it. I see a lot of fights 2 pounds over their weight in a non big fight all the time. Its only in title or a big fight they really bug about weight. Plus make a lot of dream fights happen.

The catchweights though cause results that are distorted. Yes, bad match-ups can occur in an established weight-class, but it's far more likely to happen with two top-class fighters in a catchweight.

And yes, that's EXACTLY what I'm saying. Either move to the next actual weight class, or not at all, even if it means weighing a lot less than the maximum weight at weigh-in.

I would be for that, but boxers put the chance of success before health. They'll drain themselves anyway, not get the chance to re-hydrate and put themselves in serious danger.

I rather would see one world chapion for every weightclass.

Wish we could start getting some 225 catchweights for HW fights. Force some of those fat ****s to drop a few pounds.

Actually knowing who the best at a weight was and not have 4 or more people claiming to be the 'World Champion'!! What a world that would be.
