Margarito accepts Cotto fight

By Rey Colón -The Sport Press
Antonio Margarito has agreed to challenge WBA junior middleweight Miguel Cotto on December 3 in New York City. According to one of his handlers, Francisco Espinoza, the ‘Tijuana Tornado’ has already received the doctor’s approval and is in the preliminary phase of his training. The bout will be for Cotto’s 154lb title with no catch weight.

Has Cotto agreed to it? I'll believe it when I see it.

Margarito rapes cotto again if they fight. Cotto will never beat MArgarito.

Wow. Margarito must be blowing Bob Arum for all these undeserved title shots.

Margo is completely washed up. Cotto corrects the mistakes from the 1st fight, and ends his career via late round stoppage.

Margarito will hurt Cotto badly and possibly end his career as an A level fighter

Yeah, Cotto is gonna take this. Margo (in fights where we KNOW he had no plaster) has done nothing but get beaten to a bloody pulp.

Cotto is going to correct tiring late in fights as he always does and Tony walking through his best punches?

Theres nothing Cotto can do to beat MArgarito. Hes not elusive enough and he doesn't have the power of a Shane Mosley or Pacquiao.

If Margarito's eye holds up I feel he stops Cotto again.

I tend to agree to this, I think Tonys injury ends the fight, Cottos strong hand is is left hand he is naturally left handed, and thats the shot that Pac broke Margs eye socket with...

I easily see this fight ending due to that injury... if not Cotto does a bit better this time but still losses...

If Cotto throws more bodyshots, Margo will be the one to tire. And since Margo has no plaster, he has no edge.

That, plus the fact that MArgo will have been inactive and has not won a fight in a very long time will be his end.

Body shots might do it, keep in mind Pacquiao nearly dropped Margarito with left hands to the body...
But does Cotto hit like Manny:think

Cotto will turn into LeBron James again by the 7th-8th round against a 170lb + Margarito.
