    I think each fight could go either way here. I will call this round in the next day or so, as soon as i get theenergy to add all up.

    80s take the lead after 1 round, but it does look like it will be a very close battle.

    The third match of the round will probably start later today so if anyone wants to name teams out of those left in (1990s, 1890s, Teens, 30s )

    Verry competitive matches here.

    Most of them would be toss ups.

    I agree. Tyson has jumped to an early lead over Dempsey, but i am sure the gap will close. Same with Spinks and Tunney. Greb and Hagler looks set to go down to the wire. I think that you could legitimately pick anyone of the 16 fighters to win their fight.

    The 90's is a hard one to make...

    Lennox or Holyfield?
    Roy Jones Jr.
    Bernard Hopkins
    Whitaker
    De La Hoya?
    Naseem Hamed?
    Veeraprol Sahaprom?
    Manny Pacquiao?

    I also thought I'd pick tunney for my 80s choice, thinking back on it.

    Heavy= Jack Dempsey v Mike Tyson

    I think athletically Tyson has the edge on everything here. They would both go for it early but I like Tysons extra strength to make the going harder on Dempsey and he would wear out first in a great fight of around 6 full action rounds.

    Light Heavy= Gene Tunney v Michael Spinks

    Spinks is an awkward proposition for anyone, much less for a pure boxer like Tunney. I really do think Tunney struggles here as he finds Spinks very hard to figure out and Spinks can get ahead with his hard right counterpunch landing, on Tunney alot, leading Tunney to be wary and Spinks to get off first and have the slight upperhand for the duration.
    Close decision win for Spinks.

    Middleweight= Harry Greb v Marvin Hagler

    Greb is a whirlwind punches from all angles, Hagler I think can fight back well here though, with his hard and fast combinations and good boxing ability. I think Hagler is able to keep greb off of him with some stiff punches, and this would force Greb to constantly change angle and keep Hagler off balance. I think Greb takes a very marginal decision, afew points in it.

    Welterweight= Mickey Walker v Ray Leonard

    I dont know enough on Walker, regrettably.

    Lightweight= Benny Leonard v Alexis Arguello

    I would pick Arguello over Chavez here, but just and no more. I think Leonard is a real good pure boxer when he wants to be and his mobility will cause Arguello some problems but when Leonard does open up Arguello will go with him and make it very interesting, but Leonards extra mobility probably gives him the edge here in a 9-6 sorta decision.

    Featherweight= Johnny Dundee v Salvador Sanchez

    Dont know enough about Dundee

    Bantamweight= Pete Herman v Jeff Chandler

    I can't provide a great anaylisis here but from what I know/have seen I think Herman wins.

    Flyweight= Jimmy Wilde v Sot Chitalda

    Wilde is a whirwind, I can see him being abit like Chang in beating Chitilada. Hard fast combinations launched in from Wilde forcing back Chitilada but Wilde is fairly elusive with his head movement and accurrate with his shots, picking apart the tall upright boxer.

    Light Heavy= Gene Tunney v Michael Spinks – 4-5
    Middleweight= Harry Greb v Marvin Hagler – 5-4
    Welterweight= Mickey Walker v Ray Leonard – 1-7
    Lightweight= Benny Leonard v Chavez/Arguello – 9-0
    Featherweight= Johnny Dundee v Salvador Sanches – 1-7
    Bantamweight= Pete Herman v Jeff Chandler Chandler 3-3
    Flyweight= Jimmy Wilde v Sot Chitalda - Wilde 6-2

    20s – 3 80s – 4 Draw -1

    This is about as close as it gets. 3 different fights within a point of each other hold the key to Victory one way or the other Tunney Spinks, Herman- Chandler, Hagler Greb. Any votes on these three fights will decide the match. I will give this match a bit longer.
