By my count, this is a drawn fight. I will let it continue for another five-10 minutes, before officially declaring the fight a draw and sending it into overtime with each fighter putting up their very best fighter that wasnt selected (pursuant to the overtime rules). I guess that means that Sonny Liston will be meeting which ever of holmes or Tyson did not fight in the heavyweight challenge.

A couple more votes were added after the bell, but it didnt effect the result. I am not sure if the rules are clear. No more votes will be counted.
The winner of this match will be the winner of the second best heavyweights of the decades on results, this appears to be a fight between Sonny Liston and Larry Holmes.

I need to see who others pick, before making a final decision, but i think I slightly lean towards Sonny Liston getting by Larry's jab and scoring a close UD, with a couple of Knock downs on the way.

 

Well, the 80s have won the tie breaker with Larry Holmes scoring a 17 to 9 victory over Sonny Liston.

That means the second round sees the following decades advancing: 80s, 30s, 70s, 20s plus the 2000s, Teens, 90s and 1890s who have each received a bye. I will put up the first second round match soon. If someone wants to nominate a match in the next few minutes, they are more than welcome.
