Oh, didn't know this was going on already. I'll whip up a list in a couple of days or so.

Back then the scoring was a little different , now if a fighter goes down he loses the round 10-8 . That has not always been the case although down McCauley in some of those rounds got up and actually boxed well enough to keep it to a one point round . And I am not sure maybe even get a share of some of the rounds in which he went down . If you watch this fight remember to score it the proper way . For me the modern scoring is wrong if fighter A hits the canvas but then gets up and out boxes/scores boxer B surely a two point margin is unfair

Do you mean to say you will be actively searching for a surprise, or you already have an 80s surprise in mind?

Guys, in the next few days I'm going to unstick this thread and start the 80s thread, but as long as this thread reminds sticky'd at the top, I will continue to accept submissions.

When it is replaced with the 80s Survey, it is officially closed.

Damn tough. Could easily do a list next weekend and have a completely different list. A lot of interchangeable fights and quite a few controversial fights. Obviously, the one that sticks out is Benn-McClellan. To me, that fight would easily be top 3 on my list, but the whole ending puts a damper to it. A lot like Antonio Margarito-Miguel Cotto in the last decade. If we did this list before the Mosley fight, that Margarito-Cotto fight would have easily been top 3. But, these two fights are just uncomfortable to think about, obviously, the Benn-McCellan fight more so, but it's in that same vein.
