The amazing thing was Moore was 45 years old (or turning 45 in a few days) during this fight against a 29 year old fighter in his prime. Even though Moore was older, he still was a very good fighter. Foreman gets lots of recognition for being 45 years old and stopping a 26 year old Moorer by a sudden KO, but Archie's performance at the same age in this fight is underrated.

And lest it escape anyone, former heavyweight champion Jack Sharkey was the referee for this bout.

And in correction to the title, Moore got up 4x, he was down again in round 5.
