I'm pretty sure the Khan fight will be shown on Sky Box Office. The reason his fight with Malignaggi wasn't was because of the fall out with Frank Warren and Khan didn't want to then agree a joint tv bill with him. This left the fight free where ITV managed to snap it up. I doubt ITV payed much for it (they hardly advertised it even though it was FA Cup final day) and Sky will be keen to pay more for it this time around.
The Mallignaggi bout wasn't on SBO because TK rejected the fee Sky offered, they then went shopping around other networks believing Sky would change their mind and then finally it went to ITV for next to nothing. The problem isn't the fight, it's a combination of the time of day and TK's inflated price of what they think it's worth per buy
So you have an actual source within Sky boxing department. Did you email them and they told you the fight wasn't on Sky Box Office?? Sky Sports News showed highlights of his UK and US press confrences. He said at the press confrence it would be on Sky Box Office. he said on twitter it would be on sky box office. It sounds pretty legit.
Like I said, I'm not saying it won't be. This has become a storm in a teacup, I was merely pointing out that you had it in the confirmed section of your list when in fact it isn't confirmed. I'm sure if Khan said it, it's because he believes it will be, however it isn't him that deals with these sorts of things and when it comes to TK, you can never assume a deal will be that simple.
Like I said, if you think it's ****, feel free to contact Sky if you don't think this is the case. I 100% guarantee you that they will not confirm that Amir Khan is on SBO on Dec 11th.
This is the kind events boxing needs to re-establish itself as a major sport, Not corrupt events like the recent commonwealth games which were so corrupt it became an embarrassment to everyone involved. Also these young up and coming prospects should be matched against each other instead of having them beat on old over the hill men ala Thaxton, Baldomuir, Barrera, Harris.
I thought the guy groves fought was alright for a debut in da usa and is better than any 1 degale has fought.
when he is headlining a bill on sky on 30th october...how will that show groves up? headlining on sky then fighting on a great undercard instead of fighting on a ppv bill that has 1 even match up on the whole card:yep understandably groves isnt an olympic champion and won't get title fights without earning them like chunky does.
