Both at his penultimate best careerwise. 2 greats go at it. Kind of like Loughran vs. Greb. Conn v s. Zale. O'Brien vs Ketchel. Robinson vs Maxim. A REAL FIGHT POSSIBILITY! As always, expletives not deleted please.

Interesting. Hagler looked every bit a monster against Sibson. He showed everything in the book there, both feral instinct and refined technique. However, I cannot favour him over the bigger, and also extensively skilled, Braxton. His jab would eventually grind Hagler down in a vicious bout, landing some brutal shots. There would be great skill from both, and very nasty feeling, but Qawi is too big AND skilled to overcome. Hagler would have some moments at the start. Braxton was ****in vicious at 175, and is a major handful for even the best of the best (Charles, Moore etc).

What's funny, though, is Hagler has the height advantage.

Btw I specifically say BRAXTON instead of qawi because they are 2 distinctly different fighters. He was BRAXTON thru the Nov 82 Davis fight and was unrelenting and tenacious. He was qawi for spinks & beyond and never fought the same again. Just not hungry or feral enough anymore.

I love how, for such a nasty fighter, the level of skill and defense he would show whilst beating the **** out of his opponent, and then laugh in their face! One of my favorites.

He seemed fairly hungry against Holyfield the first time.

But he was a vicious animal at LHW. I feel bad for once believing that Ward and Kovalev would beat him. Especially Ward

He just wasn't the same to me. I DO believe he beat Holyfield by a wide margin. I did that day and I do now. It is the only qawi fight after he changed his name where I didn't feel something was missing ; i.e. the thirst for retribution.

Pretty much everyone had a height advantage against Marvin , but he was the master of bringing em down!!

Dwight wins in a mother of a war with both men battered and bruised. Neither man gives an inch here and both get dropped. But in the closing rounds of the 13th, Hagler is caught, hurt and Dwight smashes in to him on the ropes. Fight of the decade!!!

Out of political correctness, the Camden Buzzsaw wins a 15 rd decision by 11-4 10-5 and 9-5-1 on the judges cards. Hagler is game and does well for about the first 3 rounds, but the size and power of Qawi is to much for Hagler. From 10 on Hagler must resort to mere survival mode as he is unable to hurt Qawi at all.

December 19, 1981 is the day I was born. So I guess I must go with The Camden Buzzsaw. Maybe I should change my avatar to that day? But I so love Hagler.

This would not be competitive, the only question is does Hagler go the distance and I'd say no. The Camden buzzsaw of 1981 would make sure Hagler didn't survive.

Braxton probably by decision or late stoppage.

He'd be too strong for Marvin. Braxton was a tank at 175 in his prime.
