I don’t. I’m not arsed. It’s basic it’s as simple as that. Heffron vs Williams in a British title fight Gorman v Leapai a very good prospect in a mismatch v a has been. Conlan v Cunnigham who’s been done by all Eddies prospects. Hardly mouth watering. Murray who’s a long time past his best v someone who’s fairly decent but who hasn’t fought in over a year. Frampton v Warrington is a mismatch in terms of ability. Then a load of TBAs. Hearn’s at present is shite too. But people like you justifying this as a PPV is why we will continue to get more bog standard cards as PPV.
Going to do my own post on the two cards but I think you're off the mark with Frampton-Warrington mate. He was excellent against Selby and that's a legit very good win. Frampton is the better of the two technically but not by an embarrassing amount and boxing isn't just about technical ability either
I mean, neither of the under cards are that good if we hold them to PPV level. Neither of the main event warrant it either. It's odd because Chisora is coming off of a career best win but he was getting worked over in that fight. Honestly looked like Takam would stop him at one stage which doesn't bode well for him. It's a good fight as is Selby-Warrington (which I think is the better of the two) but there's no need for them to be PPV what so ever. And so we expect a sublime card underneath to make it worth it. Well, we can expect all we want. They'd both make for pretty good regular cards actually; there isn't much between them. Heffron-Williams is excellent, the best between both undercards. Rosales-Edwards is actually pretty cool too although I don't think Edwards deserves a crack - but then did Barnes? Walsh-Belotti is a solid domestic fight. Murray-N'Dam...well 3 years ago that's a damn fine fight. Murray is plenty past his best IMO as is N'Dam so it's pretty well matched in that sense but it'll be a bore. Little interest in the Conlan fight but I like Gorman's as a step up - he's being moved well. So as it stands, I think the Frampton undercard is a little better but Hearn you assume will add more to his, though it isn't clear what. Neither are great though and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
Of course it’s a mismatch. Frampton is an elite p4p fighter. You’d put him in with anyone with the division or even the division above and he’d more than likely be favourite. Warrington has got a massive heart and work rate but in terms of ability it’s a gulf in class between the pair.
This is spot on. Maybe I am being a bit harsh on Warrington but the main thing I’ve said from the start is that neither are PPV worthy and the undercards certainly aren’t.
so frampton should've turned the fight down? you'd be happier if warrington fought someone crap like kid galahad?
Where have I ever said that? It’s a no brainer for frampton! Easy world title and decent pay day. He’d be mad to turn it down.
So what is your point, I'm not sure? Are you saying Warrington should just fight nobodies and get a padded record like other brit world champs?
No I’m not saying that at all. He’s already got that for the record. I’m saying this fight nor the card is PPV worthy.
If Hearn made the Murray / Ndam fight then people would say he was throwing Murray under a bus just to beef up the card.
Hearn handing Tom Little a bone before Christmas after the opponent issue and IFL interview a few weeks back.
