He is an intelligent man, in a Joshua documentary last night he said,"this fight is at the right time, in 3 years I will be too old and he will be too good!" I give Joshua only a 55% advantage over Wlads 45%.Either can win this.
I'll say one thing for Wlad....he must really want this. He doesn't need it. And, now - at 41 years old? 50/50 split? 90,000 UK fans in London? No one could have, in all seriousness, criticized him for retiring, after Fury went loco. Fair play to the man.
Wlad has nothing left to prove. The only thing that will enhance his legacy now is beating the heir to his throne, which might just happen here. Win lose or draw he should retire.
Nice article mcvey. I think after all said and done, nobody can deny Wlad greatness. Second longest reign in heavyweight division just below Louis, avoided no one and a great ambassador of the sport. It seems like that he lives for the challenge and if he is true to his worth and be an aggressive underdog, we will be in for a memorable fight. Win or lose, his standing is secured.
