    A great talent.

I still remember when he fought Jon Thaxton - took the kid to school.

Good shout, I was gonna give him a mention myself.

Lost to some terrible scoring along the way.

No wonder he always has that mournful, hang dog expression.

    The poor ****er!

Was defo destined to be amongst the 90's best MW's..
(If you know the Story some might HATE on him because of himself possibly putting people in jeopardy & they might be right, By his continuing to fight on knowing that he could have been HIV positive?)

His downfall was defo his outside the ring actions..
But inside the ring he was scheduled to face The G-Man after his fight w/Benn.
(Now that's a twist if anything)

Here is an article on him I found online called "Down for the count"

Vernon Forrest (RIP) also deserves a shout in this thread.
(He never truly got that Big Time fight 2 wins over Mosley should have granted.)

+ in the wake of his demise.... It only makes his end worse. :?

i was just thinking about him today in a similar light but i disagree. he got a big break against hatton, BARELY lost, got another big break against Mosley, REALLY lost and got yet another big break against Berto, once again doing just enough to lose. the hatton lose i could understand being a tough break but mosley destroyed him and then he gets a shot against berto somehow and loses again. that last one he has no one to blame but himself for

you could but i think the idea is that he GOT his big breaks, three of them. and while he didn't clearer lose to hatton or berto he certainly didn't clearer win them either. there was probably a point between he and his opponent in both fights. he didn't make the most of his chances, especially berto (who he lost to in that last round). i just think he was given three chances, three breaks and arguably lost all three.

Collazo's only mistake was not being the HBO-backed fighter cuz he was robbed against Hatton and Berto. Even if both fights were ruled draws justice would have been somewhat served. Collazo would have been able to (rightfully) keep his belt against Hatton and Berto wouldn't have gotten the W that he did not earn. My vote is definitely for Collazo. He doesn't have power but he's a tough and scrappy fighter who gives opponents fits.
