leija had the fights i mentioned after his loss to dlh in december 95, along with losing to mosely, tszyu and gatti, who he lost to in 05 and then retired. hes a local boy so i followed his career closely. he lost some big ones and won some big ones, all within the last 20 years.

O'Neil Bell unifying cruiserweight titles with Mormeck

    actually a lot of cruisers

Whenever someone has David Haye as a top 5 cruiser its like they forgot about a bunch of accomplished guys there

I liked the Calderon shout, I guess losing his 0 really hurt the long standing legacy

    Mark "Too Sharp" Johnson
    Rosendo "El Bufalo" Alvarez

Those 2 in their primes were hard to beat. They lost when they were on the slide. Unfortunately Finito was on the slide himself when he faced Alvarez, but him being more vulnerable still created 2 classic fights with "El Bufalo". Both fights were close and could of gone either way.

Vasily Jirov was an amazing body puncher, Toney had to dig deep, turn back the clock, and put one of his greatest performances in order to beat "The Tiger".

khasoi galaxy absolute monster of a fighter way bigger than all his opponents who somehow made superfly and ko`d everyone
i think he had about 20 world title fights won them all most by ko

for some reason all his fights were shown on uk tv on delay so we got to see a lot of the thai legend who retired as a champ, with something like a 50-1 record .

absolute legend / 1 of the greatest small men fighters of all time / barely gets mentioned.

never saw him lose a fight so might have been in 1 of his early fights.
he had a shaky chin in his last few fights due i think to boiling his big featherweight frame down to fly and he was weight drained.

80`s great time for boxing all boxing free to air with 1 out of every 3 people watching big fights in the uk .

most worldwide boxing stars really were household names then.

As I recall reading, it was something like Johnson saying he took something for a cold, mentioned what it was and that it was bought when he was in the UK, only thing is, that product wasnt available in the UK so that story doesnt appear to be true
