DECISION Billy Joe Saunders reveals he’s contemplating retirement as he breaks silence

The fact Canelo was trying to land the same shot all night and then eventually went on to land it perfectly says it all, boxing on equal terms lol ffs you do hear some waffle on here sometimes.

 

Agreed his isn't likeable. But totally disagree about the fight. Canelo was missing, swinging and swiping, tiring badly and was a very worried man. Things were not going well for Canelo at all.

 

Saunders should hold his head high as a fighter....

 

He was boxing beautifully. I've never seen Canelo miss so many punches. In a way Canelo was lucky .....his stamina isn't fantastic and who knows how the last few rounds would have turned out.

 

I think Canelo beat him in 2nd gear, he didn’t even really try to box him, he just seemed to keep loading up on single shots, safe in the knowledge that he would fold Saunders at some point.

 

I’d like to of seen Billy joe at middle a couple of year ago face Canelo . Maybe a while longer thinking about it, but he was gifted with his movement at his best

 

Saunders won about 2 rounds in that fight and the only reason he won them rounds imo is that Canelo purposely lowered his output and tempted Saunders to open up and take more risks. He never looked troubled at all and there was no way he was losing that fight. Canelo won the fight conclusively with a TKO punch which was landed so sweet it looks to have ended the career of BJS.

 

Where did you get that line from son? The commentary team? Canelo couldn't have been trying to land the same shot all night cos Billy Joe wasn't making that same mistake previously. When you come up with clichés like that you just show how little you know. You and tank both....

 

Before the injury, i really thought Saunders was coming in to his own and he had rode the storm out.

For what it is worth though i had him in front....

Yep. The key word is "Injury". His wasn't out boxed, out thought, .....only out powered. Canelos power combined with a very careless sloppy amateurish mistake from billy joe were the deciding factors.
