Defamation suit lurks as likely roadblock to Pacquiao-Mayweather

They have NO CASE. You can't say "Manny being a public figure has no bearing" in a case that is specifically related to Manny suing over "public defamation of character resulting in harm." The fact that he is a celebrity/sports icon has a HUGE BEARING on the case and could not be ignored by any responsible court.

How do you prove that they knew, without a doubt, that Manny is not on some form of PED? Do the Mayweathers work for Manny and know everything about him? How do you PROVE they knew he was not on anything? Not only do you have to prove they knew WITHOUT A DOUBT that Manny was drug free, you have to ALSO prove that they knowingly did it with the INTENT OF HARMING PACQUIAO.

Impossible to prove, they have no case. Another smoke screen for Manny to dodge a drug test. People who actually believe he has a case need to go read the laws around this.

The Mayweathers stated their opinion, and that is their right to do so as it is protected by the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES.

If Manny would take the drug tests, these opinions would probably go away. The only person to blame for all of this, is Manny Pacquiao for all his ducking, running, hiding, and double talk regarding drug testing.

 

Its not a bargaining chip...maybe in the court of public opinion but not towards negotiations... Its literally nonsense and flimsy at best... Why do you think the defendants could care less about it? They haven't changed their tune one bit. Thats on 24/7...after the suit...

That defamation suit means nothing. If anything it is being used by Pac to get out of fighting. Who sues a guy for $75K on that level? Mayweather probably blows that amount on his kid's birthday parties.

Pac and almost all the guys he associate with are jokes on a mental level. So is anyone who believes or supports this nonsense.

 

lol. Would you help somepne get paid if they were suing you? Obviously not. The case is weak. & floyd has never actually accused pac. Roger & sr may have but floyd never did, so the suit is weak. You can sue anybody for anything in these courts. Doesn't mean you'll win.

The way it sounds is the law is **** and immoral if there really are double standards for celebrities and non-celebrities. Individual freedom unless you become famous? So much for equal protection under the law.

The lawsuit is BS and anyone with half a brain knows it. That crap won't make it to court for another 4 years, but it will keep anyone who is broke from speaking on Pac's cheating... ahem I mean suspicious behavior.
