This part had me dropping my jaw... Did you see Pacquiao against Mosley? Pacquiao made Mosley look like Pernell Whitaker at times, he certainly didn't have timing and accuracy in that fight, his footwork was slow and he didn't show speed or agility. The part that had me dropping my jaw was you saying he has speed and agility that makes Mayweather's balance and coordination look pedestrian. Pacquiao has fast combination speed but Mayweather's one punch speed and movement around the ring is far above Pacquiao's. I think you may be a Pacquiao fan and it's clouding your judgement a bit.

To say that Mayweather is just a technician is inaccurate. He can be any style in there, he has versatility. Do you think Mayweather is less of a counter puncher than Marquez? If Marquez can figure out Pacquiao what do you think will stop Mayweather?

mayweather will beat pacman, as good as pacman is he had too many faults, he drops his hands and chases his opponent around the ring. Mayweather will find the opening and mayweather will set him up as pacman chases him around the ring. They are different type athletes, pacman is physically gifted with fitness, speed and power mayweather is also physically gifted but mayweather has something that no other boxer has today, that is was makes maywether so great

not for mayweather, he can find an opening anywhere. Pacman has a lot of faults just no one has been good enough to catch him out yet. Mayweather is the man to do it.

    Well said!

Though manny is not afraid one bit, Mayweather has the fear but skills and capability of controlling manny. If he can't handle and manage Manny on future date, then he is in for a few rounds of his first decent ass whooping.

I think Mayweather v. Pacquiao is going to be a good fight. Both of them are good fighters. Manny's one of my favorite fighters when it comes to his accuracy, his agility, and his speed overall (footwork and punches). He does need to work on keeping his hands up, though. He chases them around the ring when he knows they are tired and vulnerable. He also chases them around the ring to get a feel for what they've got in store for him. He comes in, and leaves himself open just to see how they react. Then he tightens up and counters with speed and accuracy and then explodes with ridiculous angles, ridiculous accuracy and even more speed and power.

Mayweather, on the other hand, is very defensive until he knows they're tired. He's a one fisted fighter. He's not one of my favorite fighters, but he's someone I watch just to see how he would match up against Manny. I've heard that Mayweather can't take a punch, but I'm not too sure whether it's true or not.

I'm a fan of both styles but if you listen to what their opponents report, Pacquiao's athleticism is what stands out. Cotto couldn't figure where the punches were coming from. Margarito couldn't get over the speed. Clottey couldn't deal with the angles, Shane the power, and so forth. Talk to guys who have sparred him and they tell you that he places himself in positions where you don't expect him to be able to reach you, never mind land, and suddenly he's ringing your bell.

Forget Pac-Mosley unless you want to judge Robinson on the Ralph Jones fight.

Mayweather is not moving as much. He's not angling as much. He's not as agile as Pacquiao. Mayweather is a better technician, but his style does not have the dimensions that Pacquiao'shas.

Does this make me some kind of blind Pac-fan?

I'm not convinced that Pacquiao can beat Mayweather. Floyd's problem is that he does not seem as confident in that assertion as he should be. Marquez has one advantage that Floyd does not have in facing Pac -he knows what to expect. He's experienced. Do you remember what happened the first time he fought Pacquiao? Pacquiao is shocking until you adjust. Can Floyd adjust...? Normally, yes, he can ...but I'm not convinced that he will here, enough to win.

And who said that Mayweather is just a technician?? He is a technician and that is a pretty grand complement and a pretty grand foundation for the other things he brings to the table.

When Mayweather first went pro, his best punch was his left hook

Do you serious think Floyd is a one handed fighter? Which hand are you talking about? (That should let you know something that I have to ask you which hand)

That is like Bob Arum calling Ali an onehanded fighter. :patsch

Not at all. Ali wasn't even close to a one fisted fighter. I'm not saying he's a bad fighter at all, I'm just saying he sits and throws cherry pickers the whole match in the couple fights I watched with him. Which came across to me as him being a one fisted fighter. I guess you could say extremely defensive. Again, I'm not saying he's bad. Because you can't have a record like him and be a bad boxer.

I think you are using on fisted fighter in the wrong context then
