I can think of alot of easier ways to comeback after a long layoff than to be fighting an undefeated Eastern European who probably has a solid amateur background though I'm guessing on the last part.

I don't care for the fight but it could have been a lot worse. I know I'm gonna take some heat for this one but whatever.

I don't like Kessler fighting Sartison now, but saying that Kesslers a coward is not fair.
I mean he fought some tough competition in his last bouts and was willing to fight abroad. Went to Cardiff and gave Calzaghe a good fight, he proved that he's indeed a warrior.

That's my problem too. I just don't care for the fight and by saying that I guess we are both saying the choice sucks at the end of the day.

Sartison looked quite good and convincing in his last outing to a box ring stopping a tough Argie who had gone the full route of 12 rounds with Mundine on australian soil in his previous fight.
I vs seen some of young German-Russian's fights. As sean has already pointed out he seems to be a bit small and his size will certainly be a disadvantage against Kessler.Furthermore he is no puncher who truly poses a threat to Kessler.
I can still vividly remember one of his fights against an African journeyman who had been bombed out of the ring by Vitaly Tsypko in one of his previous fights who could hold his own against Sartsion making the water quite hot for him at times.
Sartison also had a very close fight with his stable mate Perdomo. He can be easily underestimated, but when he travelled over the czech republic to fight in front of huge hostile crowd to take on the local hero Bilak, a game brawler with a weak chin, he was as cool as a cucumber systimatically and impressively dismantling aforementioned Bilak on his home turf.
Anyway! Sartsion has never faced and beaten a big name.I guess that he will be out of shoes against Kessler who plays in a different dimension.Kessler by tko or ko.

The fight will not be WBA title, Mundine has money and he will not let this happen unless WBA do something for him, Mundine is multi millionare and could that WBA to court and he would win. It they make Strum thing happen for him he mite give up the title at 168.

Yep! Sartison has a solid amateur background. He represented the colours of Germany in quite a lot of amateur fights. As far as I can remember he was a quite successful amateur in Germany.
But.............Germany is no mighty power at the amateurs, and he hasnt been influenced by the Russian school of boxing.
German amateurs cant hold a candle to their counterparts from the countries of the former soviet union.

And you are also right in saying that it could have been worse. Sartison is a decent fighter. He is just not in Kessler's league.Whats more he is not ready yet to fight for a mayor title. Kessler will murder him.
