    - Lean back
    - Block with the arms or elbows
    - Move your head to the side
    - Keeping distance / footwork

I am led to believe that is may be the defence where you have both arms diagonally paralell.

This is the best pic I can find and is a roughly what I mean

Protect your chin under that top hand, cover your body with the lower arm, then move.

Do NOT do this, this is just asking to be knocked out.

You can either catch the uppercut, block it with your forearm (best way to do it), or simply move away since uppercuts are usually thrown in close range.

Try and keep yourself out of the position where your opponent can land it, if you're bobbing and weaving bend at the Knee's and Hips not the back, causes you to crouch over right into its path.

that looks like a sholder block (sholder shrug) and a good block to know. It's better than taking it on the chin

a couple ways to block a upper cut

one would be to evade back
another way would be to palm block downward

even a mediocre swarmer can get through floyd wannabes though. i'll agree it's good to know yes, but not worth using for the majority of people. people that use it well are gifted with great athletic ability. look at boxers like sweet pea, rjj, ali, floyd, if they had average speed the would've paid dearly for boxing how they did in their primes.
