no he lost to a defensive fighter b/c all he does is swing from is ass as many times as he can load up. arthur was even waving him in at one point just timing that left. that's what i mean. pac and calzaghe are atg's so yeah they throw a lot (volume) but they bring more to the table than just that. if all you do is throw throw throw and that's it your gonna get sparked eventually.

i agree with you to a point so don't get me wrong. but there is more to just volume v. defense in those fights you listed. volume was only part of it.

Floyd usually philly shell against southpaws otherwise he'll eat heaps of right hooks.

    You mean:

    Calazaghe vs. old hopkins

    Williams vs. Old Winky

    Pac vs. Heavybag

You're grasping at straws in attempt at strengthening you belief that Pac can beat PBF. Let's not forget PBF is faster than any of these old folks you've listed and let's also not forget PBF is in his prime, doesn't get tired and is a master of accurate and effective counter punching.

had he faced a volume puncher yet? Manny is well-experienced with defensive fighters.

just because someone threw 100+ in a fight, one instantly becomes a volume fighter. Don't confuse pressure fighter to a volume puncher.

100+ punches a round is a high volume. Therefore Chavez was fighting as a volume puncher. If you say that he's not truly a volume puncher because that is out of character for him then I would retort that Pac normally throws sixty or seventy a round which does not make him a volume puncher either.

So basically you lose no matter how you define it.

Marquez, Hatton who just keeps coming in throwing punches, even though he's wreckless as fuk, and a few others earlier in his career.

Winky's natural size and strength and southpaw right jab kind of shoots holes through that analysis.

Jeff Fenech - That's a pressure fighter in my book. Mosley is an aggressive boxer/puncher imo.

Baldomir is a volume puncher and was completely outclassed against Floyd.

The achilles heel to defensive wizards are SWARMERS...not volume punchers.

Some of the fights you named werent necessarily volume punchers.

Clottey was beating the **** out of Baldomir AND Margarito until something went wrong.

you should be saying volume punchers are the death of fighters who use turtle style defense... calzaghe arguably lost to calzaghe

These are poor examples as Age had alot to do with the Winky and Hopkins fights besides Winky has kicked the crap out of quite a few volume punchers in his younger days, As for Clottey he simply wasn't in Pac's class.

Hatton wasn't a volume puncher. Hatton uses his body to swarm his opponent and mauls them for the inside.

Since when has Mosley ever been a volume puncher?
