Defensive fighters are treated unfairly in this era

    This is still extremely relevant to this day!

    And it's getting much worse. Defensive boxing is getting completely undermined and becoming more and more obsolete. It's disgusting!

    Well, agressive fighters enable defensive fighters like Floyd to showcase their skills. Do we just want two fighters standing in the middle of the ring feinting? Defensive fighters get more credit for their skills than agressive fighters do as others have said in this thread.

    Modern boxing is just as much a business as a sport. If your not an exciting fighter and cant generate a fan base, you're not going to make much money or be in many big fights.

    I appreciate defensive boxing, it’s a very difficult skill

    Some just wanna see wars and that’s fine as well. I’m not by any means saying a Rigo right is more entertaining than a war, it’s just nice to see such skill every now and then
