Hatton has to be in there surely

No one blocks punches with their face as well as him

he belongs when he proves it.

he'øs a talented fighter but he's still just a 'flavour of the month' until he does.

He has a very responsible tight defense. He's never been rocked or stop for this reason.

This isn't p4p, its defensive p4p. He has better defense then everyone listed besides Toney, Wright and Hopkins.

Even in the loss to Margarito, his defense was excellent.

Minto belongs in there as well. His defense is easily the best since Tyson, he never gets hit by clean punches.

He wasn't my top answer. There were in no particular order. It is possibly Hopkins.

i would start with BHOP and Toney due to they counter punching skills and toney has an amazing chin also

margarito has a chin that makes him a great fighter but then is having a chin made out of steel part of your defence.

floyd has the shoulder roll that makes him hard to hit off clean against

calzaghe has great foot speed and great knowledge of angles which in turn give him a great defence. if getting cut once (from a headbutt) and only going down 3 times in 45 fights is not considered a good defence i dont know what would be

John Ruiz- The grabbing and low-blow faking is very effective-there's a reason no one has KO'd him since Tua

McCall- Like Margarito, is a defensive genius by absorbing punches with his chin, and suffering no ill effects.
