He is just about the only fighter who has a complete defensive tool kit in that division, period. The rest are way too limited.
Wilder stated earlier this week that before he retires he wants to knock a man out of the ring, well according to this simulation he pulls it off against Usyk. https://talksport.com/sport/1681477/deontay-wilder-oleksandr-usyk-boxing-crazy-ko/
Usyk is much more defensively responsible at heavyweight. He was happy to draw opponents on in order to pressure fight them at cruiserweight where he was always typically the bigger man with the better feet and gas tank. But His defence should not to be overrated, he's no Floyd but he has the first major piece to the puzzle which is his footwork positioning. He does rely on ring circling and hiding behind a high guard sometimes which is dangerous to do especially at HW. His clinch is exploitable also and I've seen him lapse in concentration expecting the referee to help him at times which is a massive no no. He also complains when getting hit on or near beltline because (he feels) it's low when it's not and that is something a really high IQ defensive fighter like Floyd would NEVER let an opponent onto, but this is also more of a ploy to try and get the referee on his side in believing the shots are too low when they're not.
Uysk is levels above Fury in Skills. But 260lbs 6'9 of inside fightingness is hard to beat. And i mean 260lbs. If fury comes in fat trying to slug hes getting pepperdashed.
Wilder 2 weight. Looked like a titan. He will dip down into the 260's for Usyk though if he doesn't do the muscle mass on S&C he did for Wilder.
Wont work. Needs to be a mature Klitchko weight. I give him 250-260lbs. Fury who can box not get hit like a pinata.
He shouldnt lol. If i trained fury now, id have him UD Uysk. But if he tries to do that walk down crap hes getting busted eyes and ears.
