Whitaker is good choice.... His chin and desire was there.... You don't go 12 rds with Tito Trinidad in 1999 when clearly past your prime without being tough.... Good pick on Whitaker.....

Don't know if I'd call them defensive specialists, since both had rather average D imo, but Ken Buchanan and Hector Camacho had great chins.

I thought Winky had a really solid chin. Vasquez got to him sure, but I think Wright got tougher as he matured (defense got better too of course).

Starling, Toney, Hopkins and Canto are good choices.

Billy Graham is another that's up there.

Locche had a solid chin too.

You'd think I'd love this but I just can't remember Avelar doing anything other than shaving Canto, which is dangerous enough admittedly.

As for Starling, it just goes to show anyone can be stopped. I don't think he was 'relaxed' but he was looking to carry on the afters from earlier rounds and was in a worse position than he might find himself in usually.

And hey, Valdez sparked Briscoe :deal

The 'Molinares' issue of '88 has already been mentioned... I admit, that after-the-bell KO bothers me to this very day...

I have the fight on video.:hey

I didn't think Wilfred Benitez could have gone 15 with the Hitman

WTF? Benitez did go 15 rds with Hearns in '82 at 154 pounds. Benitez blew his belt in the process, too..

Ottke hasn't been mentioned yet. I would have liked to have seen Maske tagged by big hitters, but he probably is another selection. Anyone that watched the evolution of Roberto Duran puts him in this list also. Not so much the version fighting Pazienza and Castro but the 135 pounder.
