Burley could hit. Well enough to hurt just about anyone he took to the ring with.

Jones was as hard to find as Whitaker but could end things with one punch.

    Archie Moore?

Napoles. Espparragozza. How about Joe Gans and Tommy Ryan?

Samart Payakaroon. Perfectly encapsulated in this 18 second clip from the 12th and final round of his title defence against the dangerous puncher 'Kid' Meza that you all have time to watch.

    All good calls.

What these fighters have in common, is that they became defensive specialists due to career circumstances.

That was astonishing. But Menza looked awful.

Mine however did not. He was a gifted defensive savant. And offensive monster. And a brilliant singer.

He'd already been dropped three times.

You give him the nod over Johnson on either attribute?

I think he might have more power, yeah. He caved Fulton's ribs the **** in, and has quite a few one punch KO's. But it's very hard to be sure obviously.

Well I wouldn't say he's a banger but then again he was an offensive force at 130 and has scored stoppages where he's dropped the opponent all the way to 147 so I'd say he's as good a shout as any :good

Question is would Pascual Perez qualify?

    This is fair.

Are we saying you have to be brilliant defensively and take the defensive approach? Because Tyson at his very best would qualify if not.
