floyd needs to come heavy and deliberately missed the weight after jmm moving up two divisions for their fight and still couldn't stop him.

I think he is the best of the fab four at featherweight. His poor management earlier in his career stalled it. He could have been much bigger than he is now.

He can't be knocked out because he is a great counterpuncher.

Basically guys who come to him, he has the stylistic advantage as that plays to his hands so even someone like Pac who is a great as they come as a brawler he can handle because they're playing his game.

Guys who dont come to him, fellow counterpunchers give him a hard time and even beat him, look at MAB, Norwood, Chris John, all 3 arguably beat him that's because they are not playing his game of coming straight at him, they are playing the counterpunching game.

Then there is someone like Floyd who has every advantage in the book, speed, size, reach, skill and he still cant knock JMM out, thats because they're both playing counterpuncher. Floyd can outbox the **** out of JMM but to finish JMM off, he would have to stop playing counterpuncher and come after JMM, then JMM may possibly outpoint him as he loves fighting off the backfoot.

To knock JMM out, you would have to come to him, counterpunchers like MAB, Norwood, John or even Floyd can't do that else they would be giving in to JMM's game and JMM may then possibly have the upper hand. On the other hand JMM won't come to them, so what you get is 2 counterpunchers and given that JMM has very good recovery power's, he isn't gonna get knocked out in a chess match even though he could be outpointed.

The only way JMM gets stopped is if he brawled with a top brawler.

Brawlers are a lot more succeptible to get knocked out, against a counterpuncher they could walk into something, against a fellow brawler they could be outbrawled. IMO great counterpunchers can only be outpointed, that is unless they have chin issues whereby you connect once they sleep.

All time great and the best combination puncher i had the privvy of watching in my lifetime.

He is tough as nails and has a good chin but his recovery ability is out of this world.
By the time he gets of the canvas its like he has fully recovered and already shooting back with pin point accurate counter shots while someone is trying to finish him.

Its astounding to watch and ill miss him when he retires.

Which brings us to the next question.

Who in history would be able to stop JMM? I am talking about a prime JMM not the current version even though that also seems impossible.

Katsidis fight is an example of what you just said. I was worried when he went down because it looked so brutal. Then he got up to dominate the rest of the round. You really could have scored that 9-9 as I felt JMM won the round but has to be deducted the point for going down. I think Katsidis was hurting more at the end of that round.
