Usually these fighters are tall and fast with great fundamentals. Generally they use long straight punches to keep the fight at their optimal distance. There are 3 main categories for Boxers Classical Boxer: This is a fighter who uses a cultured lead hand with lots of lateral movement. Examples: Ken Buchanan, Howard Winstone, Tommy Loughran, Gene Tunney Eastern Boxer: this is generally a tall fighter who keeps his hands high and uses stiff jabs and crosses to keep at long range, often regarded as 'Robotic' Examples: Wladimir Klitschko, Dennis Boystov 'American' Boxer: I use 'American' becase of lack of another name. Generally a more exciting boxer similar to a boxer-puncher but uses lots of lateral movement and fast combinations.
