I was just reading a post on the General forum on this subject, needless to say it was ridiculous but now it's got me wanting a list. I made my own but don't want to show it as it probably would just show how little I know. Give me a list.
1. Manny Pacquiao 2. Bernard Hopkins 3. Floyd Mayweather Jr 4. Marco Antonio Barrera 5. Erik Morales 6. Shane Mosley 7. Juan Manuel Marquez 8. Ronald Wright 9. Jose Luis Castillo 0. Joe Calzaghe

Cheers for the lists. Mine was pretty much the same but had Lewis and Cotto instead of Wright and Castillo/Klit. Is Cotto justifiable? He's been pretty impressive IMHO.
Your Top5 looks grea but I would have a bit different second half. Something like: 6. Juan Manuel Marquez 7. Winky Wright 8. Shane Mosley 9. Joe Calzaghe 0. Wlad Klitschko
I had the same top 3 but had Mayweather as my definite no.1 followed by Pac then Hopkins. Why have you guys got Pacquiao and Hopkins above Mayweather?
Marquez above Mosley is almost unjustifiable too me. Mosley has been fighting top opposition for longer, and his two wins over De La Hoya and sensational knockout over Margarito trump Marquez's best wins over old Barrera and Diaz. Marquez scores highly in longevity and being successful in multiple divisions...unfortunately, so does Shane. The resumes are the equalizer.
I don't see what Joe Calzaghe did to establish himself as one of the top ten greatest P4P fighters of the decade.
He comes in at 10. That's fair. He did have solid wins over Lacy, Kessler, Hopkins. You don't need to tell me how Lacy slipped, and how old Hopkins was. I know that, but I think his consistency andt hose wins get him on the list. Who else is more deserving? Joel Casamayor, perhaps. Neither Vitali or Wladimir have really beat better opposition than Joe did.
Well, Marquez went 1-0-1 against Pac in my book. Which is better than Mosley´s win over DLH - I thought DLH won the second one - and I don´t rate Margo that highly because we don´t know how much he cheated in his previous career.
1. Manny Pacquiao 2. Floyd Mayweather Jr 3. Bernard Hopkins 4. Erik Morales 5. Marco Antonio Barrera 6. Shane Mosley 7. Juan Manuel Marquez 8. Joe Calzaghe 9. Ronald Wright 10. Lennox Lewis
Based on resume, accomplishments, ability shown/proven, and my own belief over who won certain fights: 1.Manny Pacquiao 2.Bernard Hopkins 3.Floyd Mayweather 4.Shane Mosley 5.Marco Antonio Barrera 6.Juan Manuel Marquez 7.Erik Morales 8.Winky Wright 9.Jose Luis Castillo 10.Joe Calzaghe
Over the decade, Pacquiao and Hopkins have both fought and beat better fighters than Mayweather has. All three have had losses (I scored Morales I against Pacquiao, scored Taylor II against Hopkins, scored Castillo I against Mayweather), but all three have been consistently excellent across the decade, far and away the clear top three, but I just think Manny and B-Hop have took on and passed tougher challenges than PBF. JMHO.
