domestically a massive fight, it doesnt get bigger. Well Fury and Chisora but thats a different story.
Awesome video lol. Degale does come across as a nob, but it's all part of the promo I think. He knows that in order to make a name for himself, he needs a bit of outside ring banter to go with his in-ring skills. Even if all he does talk is crap, people will remember the name for that exact reason. Degale will KO him.
I would say the puncher out the two is Groves. Degale might find himself stretchered out himself. I dont think its part of the promo i think the bloke is a thick uneducated delinquent.
None of that makes sense. Dont you mean self-conscious? Degale came off like a ***** no-one can deny that, he is also thick as two short planks just you.
James DeGale is British Champion. David Haye is a World Champion! Who the fcuk is DeGale to say Haye is talking rubbish to Groves?
I here americans on esb asking why degale isn't popular in britain in contrast to boxers like hatton or bruno and this video shows you exactly why. the arrogance and lack of humility he shows means that the only reason the average brit will tune in to watch degale is in the vain hope he gets beat, just like they did with hamed and early eubank. personally i like degale though and think he is the goods and will stop groves. part of me wouldn't be too upset if degale was to lose though.
I don't expect exemplary behavior from boxers...most are messed up. The problem with DeGale's 'persona' is he's absolutely not funny at all. He should just drop it and play the regular joe.
Like Haye/Harrison, these two look like BFF's who are trying to drum up some artificial animosity. Great promotion, though for sure. It got my attention. The North American scene needs more of this on prime tv to get viewers interested in the characters behind the names -- you don't need to spend elaborate budgets to generate hype, this type of banter will easily suffice, especially when you have a guy who plays the buffoon as well as Degale.
I think DeGale will destroy him but I'll be routing for Groves. DeGale is acting far too much of a twat.
The mutual dislike is genuine & has been building for years. There's a lot of history here & its nothing like Harrison/Haye.
