The more I see George Groves, the more I like him ... he's probably on the verge of being the best British boxer out right now. I think he needs to listen to Booth more and work on being more loose but as far as technical skill, power, and condition ... he's top notch and I think he deserves to be ranked in the top 10 in the world. I hope he brings his talent to the U.S before he gets a title shot. James DeGale is very good himself and he'll do great things, he lost to a very good fighter in Groves and I think for the time being he should stay clear from Groves and fully rebound and progress to the world class stage. Once these guys both get titles then this rematch would be huge in the UK and possibly worldwide if these guys take their careers in a different direction ... The UK needs more fights like this.
Degale and his trainer are far too stubborn to put the required work in to make him a top level fighter. Groves has trained all over the world and sparred with Andre Dirrel and Carl Froch. Froch invited Degale up to Nottingham to spar with him as prep for Andre Ward, but him and his trainer didn't want to know.
when a lot of people score the fight they seem to ignore the fact the the only reason degale really hurt groves is cos he stood on his foot and butted him, it looked life a left hook, round 9 i think? or later
I think no matter who was winning the fight ... Groves took a step up and DeGale didn't look so hot in his last showing ... Goves has spent the past couple of months in the ring magazine top 10 at super middleweight so I think they are a good indicator of talent and since then I have been following Groves. I don't really think DeGale can box, if anything he needs a new trainer and to get away from the UK ...
