DeGale EXPOSES GGG and Kovalev. Too tough, too slick.

I would not say he is garbage . But I would say the division isn't as good as it was previously the generation before. Alot of the fighters seem to be slightly above or on par with an old Bute. Definitley not a sensational division but at least entertaining with a lot of good but not great fighters at this moment.

How'd he expose them? DeGale's a good fighter, to be beaten by him is no exposure unless it's a total uncompetitive schooling.

Before last night, I was HOPING DeGale was the goods, but I had these same fears, ie the gassing, or purposefully taking rds off to supplement poor stamina......

That said....the OP would be seriously disappointed for DeGale if either of these fights were made, that is unless he/she happens to be DeGales wife and HBO put it on PPV while Hearn staged it in Wembley and they got the 80K that Froch Groves did.:lol::lol:

    I wouldnt say ALL.

And how is Beterbiev gonna send him out on a stretcher when he can't throw a counter punch to save his own life.

    DeGale on points.

Havent seen enough of Bivol as a pro to ascertain the outcome, but DeGale has proven his skills and chin solid enough to handle a one dimensional banger that Bivol, from what I can TELL thusfar is looking like. Though I will admit, I havent seen him need to resort to a plan B....so I could be wrong down the line.

As for Golovkin vs DeGale.....he's a far better boxer than is DeGale....a far better puncher....got far better defense.....far better chin......and DeGale's only advantage vs GGG would be the 6-8 lbs and 1 1/2" reach, and MAYBE some speed, which GGG would EASILY negate with his p4p #1 footwork.

GGG KO2-5 DeGale....5 if DeGale gets on his bike. :yep

I agree that Beterbiev could be outboxed by a master boxer or loose against a master "spoiler" like Ward. DeGale is none of the two imo, so he's gonna end up getting hurt by some seriously powerful shots. Beterbiev won't need to throw counters - he'd be the aggressor through the whole fight.

Bovol is far from one-dimensional and has probably the quickest hands in the division. Pretty hard hitter too. He'll put DeGale under pressure and tire him by the 7-8 round to win a UD.

BTW - I am not trying to make DeGale terrible - he's a good boxer, but currently there's just too much top talent at LHW for him to have any chance there.

Must say that's a puzzling conclusion. Why would Beterbiev have to throw a single counter punch to win? Do you think Medina is a more skilled operator or more capable pressure fighter than Artur? Even if they are the exact same level (which they clearly arent) i have no doubt that Artur landing the same punches Medina did would leave Degale out cold inside 5 rounds.

    Really??? You're joking right?

Beterbiev is levels above Porky when it comes to cutting off the ring, and he lands even half the leather on DeGale than Medina did, DeGale will be down and out. And for the record Beterbiev is a better counter puncher than you think he is, they're subtle and usually short, but counters nonetheless.

This ^^^. DeGale is a decent boxer and I like him, but he's a huge underdog against Kovalev, Ward or Beterbiev.

    Nothing whatsoever with footwork.

    I said Beterbiev doesnt counter.

He effectually, resets every time his opponent offers ANYTHING resembling offense.

Medina threw counter every time DeGale stopped a combination, and that made DeGale cover and use energy to get out.....

Vs Beterbiev.....Anyone with a solid beard, fast hands, and a good jab would have him taking shots to the gloves all night and to his forehead and chest anytime he tried to let his hands go.

Beterbiev is a one dimensional fighter ATM.

If he can't get on the front foot, he's toast.:good

GGG won't move up for him. Risk reward is bad. Kovalev or Ward would beat him down badly.

As a fan of James I'd hate to see the damage kovalev would do to him. Although I'm an even bigger of sergey
