I like DeGale, I praise him often on here but Kovalev knocks him in to next year. If Porky Medina is landing punches on DeGale (and almost anybody who fights him does) then what happens when Kovalev lands a few? Even if DeGale try's to box his way to a decision he will sooner or later get dragged into a fight and Kovalev will stop him.
N17 I think kovalev would outbox degale. That's what people don't understand, don't e suprised if kovalev outboxed ward. Seriously
And Ali was supposed to be destroyed by Foreman right! REMEMBER... styles make fights! Just because fighter A beats fighter B and fighter B beats fighter C, doesn't mean fighter A beats C! But I tend to agree with you on Kov! Degale doesn't throw enough to bother Kov and the constant pressure Kov would apply would break DeGale down by mid fight! IMO. The best fight out there would be 3G and DeGale. DeGale would be competitive for the first part of the fight but, I favor 3G in this as well. DeGale was getting hit pretty much in every round in his last fight against Medina, who is nowhere near the puncher G is. DeGale can't afford to get hit as frequently as that. I see DeGale doing a lot of running and eventually getting caught with something big. He doesn't hold all that much and the way G cuts the ring off and DeGales low punch output, I just don't see him winning against 3G. On a side note... DeGales sister is something to behold!:bowdown
Ward won 4/5 rounds versus Kovalev.. Hopkins won 1 at best! Pascal over 15 rounds probably won 2 at most! Degales beating him??! LMAO Degale lost to Groves & struggled with a shot Bute. He has just failed to beat Jack too (haven't watched it in full yet so don't know who won more rounds but by all accounts Jack won) What a ****ing idiot.
Might be one of the dumbest threads I've ever read on here. DeGale is a solid fighter but nothing special, he gets murked if he steps in the ring with either GGG or Kovalev.
He would do well against GGG for a few rounds, and then receive a life altering beating. I could see him maybe exchanging early knockdowns with Kovalev before being left twitching on the canvas by about round 5.
Degale just went LIFE AND DEATH with mediocre belt-holder level guys like Jack and Direll. If Degale was an "amazing fighter" he should have solidly outpointed and dominated those guys in a clear fashion.
