Nor is he really built like either. :huh

I mean, he's a class prospect and I'm sure he's got good for some solid sparring rounds. Stylistically, however, I don't see the advantage for Mayweather or Dirrell in using him specifically.

Great break for DeGale, and he seems to have the right kind of humble attitude about just being grateful to get in the ring with elites. He's definitely getting the better end of this deal, though. I'm not sure why Floyd and Andre aren't loading their schedules with either a) guys who represent similar styles to their opponents or b) journeyman types with extensive sparring experience who they can take long to get some good hard work in.

It's great for DeGale. I wish the guy all the success, he's had a rough time as a pro, far too much harsh stick.

Many boxers employ numerous sparring partners to prepare for a fight. All of the sparring partners aren't meant replicate the stlye of the upcoming opponent. Sometimes u just want to get some talented guys in there that will push u and give u some tough rounds.

Maybe Degale isn't meant to replicate the styles of those fighters you mentioned. He could be used for other reasons. For example the Mayweather camp may be just bringing him in due to his size, and hope Mayweather will accustom himself to shots from bigger guys.

I don't know where your getting this humble attitude from, he's seemed full-of-himself everytime i've seen him.

Yes, that's an excellent area of focus prior to fighting Marquez and then likely Pacquiao...:huh

Great break for Degale - Probably the best he's going to get. I dont see him getting past the 'Frank Warren gave mee a WBA Title and as soon as I faced a threat I got beat' Route that Amir is currently on.

Hopefully some of Mayweather's class will rub off on him.

Fighting bigger guys isnt the reason why Mayweather chose DeGale, of that im sure.
