I am happy that Groves won, I just would like DeGale's fans to make less excuses. And all this "He controlled the fight" balls needs to stop. That makes me angry.
Thing is to, he didn't control the fight, that's probably why Groves won the fight, he dictated the tempo, had De Gale fighting his fight.
But i never said he did cos i ain't seen the fight. No need to go ''bollocks'' to a post that clearly shows that i didn't watch fight and was asking if i had right impression. I for one ain't been making excuses for DeGale. I just try to understand how the fight went down and why he lost the bout.
Sorry, mate. I replied to you but not TO you, if you know what I mean. Nothing personal intended. But you were quite hard on wee George the last while.
Oh fair enough mate, got wrong impression. Yeah i was and was out of order, I don't like the lad dunno why just can't take to him. I was wrong and he proved me wrong last night. Good luck to lad i didn't think he'd last the course last night but looks like i overratted James and underrated George.
This just ain't true. The fight was always going to be close with Groves' strategy. He came in to nick the rounds, some rounds he would do enough, others not quite enough, but every time he needed a round he took one and DeGale had no answer.
Groves came with a plan...:yep Degale thought he just had to turn up...:yep Degale was outthought and outfought, he got beat fair and square...:yep Sometimes some people just have your number...:hi:
True, in the fact that he always knew George had his number or always knew GEorge was a tough fight. I just think he got lost in his own hype and belived he was on a next level because of all the publicity hes had. He got inflated and thought he was on a next level. From day one back in the setanta days, bunce boxing hour when they first turned pro Degale always looked like he didnt want to know Groves. Like he knew Groves was a danger.
