According to sources Degale now has a rematch clause with Truax if he wants it.

Haymon has granted him his chance for redemption. I don't particularly like any promoter they are all scum, but I would roll with Haymon over Eddie any day of the week, at least he would look you in the eye when he sticks the knife in.

Hearn has built a bit of a fanbase/reputation and has quickly become a bloke who the fans side with over fighters. Edward is as dishonest as they come but the gullible eat it up. I never thought I'd see the day when a promoter becomes the star attraction for some, it actually leaves a bad taste IMO.

Correction: There was no rematch clause but Truax wanted the rematch presumably because he knows it will be very lucrative and fancies it.

Truax said he was paid peanuts for the original fight and expects a big payment for this one.

    Yeah Truax asked for it

It doesn't matter, what Truax wants!!! (In The Rocks voice)

Al Haymon decided that Degale needs a rematch, Degale can thank Al

Young handsome guy with charisma vs a bunch of wrinkly old men - youth always prevails even though they are the same as the ones they succeed, crooked like a roach leg.

DeGale better take the opportunity and try to correct that L, if he's to continue his career with any credibility.

I agree. He just might not have it anymore. On top of the flaws he is known for throughout his career I don't think he can deal with Truax who is a decent fighter.

He had a decent run, the Dirrell win is underrated even though Dirrell hasn't really done much. Going over to to America to win the title and defend it is something we won't see another British fighter do for a long time.

Decent, and with a well of good experience to draw on, but DeGale's performed much better against much better than Truax. It's on James to prove that he was sleeping on him and isn't all washed up.

If he'd been riding with Al, Brook would've been a likely candidate (I'll take his Porter W over Chunky's Dirrell W).

If Degale had stuck with Eddie he wouldn't of been defending his title at the Copperbox in front of 5000-6000 people.

It's easy to say that but given his injury and the tournament Eddie wouldn't have him doing much better tbh, in fact Eddie was given the 1st opportunity to put him on a sky card and he refused to spend the money!!!!!

Eddie is a conman and his loyal supporters follow him blindly! He loves talking about purses when it benefits him but makes sure there hush hush if it makes him look bad. Degale at this point already has near maximum profile, he would never have been any bigger than he is now regardless of staying in the UK, it's pure speculation and rubbish. Even if he did have more profile Eddie loves underpaying his fighter's and taking bigger cuts than other promoters. He can do this because he has a competitive advantage with Sky. Just because he sells more tickets don't mean his fighter's get more money and especially not compared to Haymon money that Degale was on.

Degale would have only made more coin if he stayed in the UK with Hearn if he actually fought some domestic rivals and tbh that was never guaranteed look at Hearn and Kell Brook, they never got Khan!!! I suppose he might have had a chance at getting the GGG pay day but I doubt that because GGG would have seen Degale as too big a risk to spoil Canelo fight!!!

Al Haymon isn't a promoter but agreed he's a manager who looks out for his fighters. Did great with Frampton too. Having said that Selby hasn't had the best time with him

but he actually is. More people know Hearns prospects on a NXTGEN than Warren's world champions. He may be a liar and a hypocrite but man, he is good at his job

You dont need a rematch clause when theyre both with Al.
    Al is the rematch clause.
