see but thats where you are going wrong Taylor. You are listening to pre fight trashtalk, when you should just watch the fight for what it is. Not trying to diss you bud, but you have to forget the talk, & see who does the business in the ring. That was the problem I spoke about all along, people were watching and scoring with their hearts, NOT their heads. To me, Groves boxed cautiously & carefully, whilst Degale tried to make a fight of it. When nothing much happens in a fight, one has to ask who tried to make the fight more IMO. It was close cos it was boring, but at least Degale forced the action. You have to give it to the guy who wants to fight in that situation IMO. Its very subjective though.
DeGale didn't really force the action either though that was the problem. Was it the 4th round where he just stood still and did nothing? Tactically clueless and it was hilarious. It was close because Groves isn't that great either yet but he was still easily the better boxer that night. DeGale won the 9th and apparently had Groves really hurt yet the 10th was the clearest round of the fight and Groves won it comfortably. How d'you work that out if George was just running and DeGale kept forcing the fight?
Degale forced it in the later rounds and to be fair did a decent job of it. I thought he pinched it but it was a tight, tight fight. Forcing the pace was so alien to him it took him half the fight to wake up. The guy operates on arrogance and it makes him look a twat. Its one thing to talk the talk but he believes his own bull****. I think he's a very talented fighter but if he doesn't take the groves fight as a wake up call he'll not progress, he'll fall into the same conceited trap again.
Tbh' i had Degale winning the fight by a round or two (can't remember exactly). Early part of the fight DeGale did nothing, but when he started pushing the fight later on, he looked a lot better. He come off better in any exchange's they had and Groves looked hurt by one or two of DeGale's shot's (think it was the 8th or 9th round). I agree with the nation playing into the sob story, Groves being bullied by DeGale, the whole Haye factor, because let's not kid ourselves the nation was up Haye's arse before the Wladimir fight. Saying all this though, i'm still glad Groves got the decision
You should stick to Scottish fanboyism because outside of every post concerning one of your dearly beloved countrymen, you show yourself to be clueless.
I liked the "he who must not be named" article in the Sun today where he says that Chisoras inactiviy effected his performance against Fury. I might be wrong but isnt it his job to get Chisora fights.
Well yeah but it's not his fault both Klitschko fights fell through. Still though, a poor excuse. Chisora's own fault for coming in at that weight, I don't think it would've mattered anyway, Tyson was too good for him.
I think it's a poor excuse, Chisora was just lazy :good I disagree with the other comment though. I think a fit(ter) Chisora would beat him and will do should they rematch :good
I understand the Klit pull-outs didnt help him but Wazza has had several shows over the past few months so he could have had a keep busy fight on one of those bills.
James degale did not win that fight. It doesn't matter what he says. He got beat fair and square it was close but he defiantly lost I'm not having this robbery crap
DeGale and team seem completely oblivious almost, that he actually lost against Groves.... to them, they just seem to be kidding themselves thinking that the fight with Groves was really bad robbery. The fight was close... whoever you think deserved to win the fight is a matter of opinion but Groves WAS the winner. Team DeGale seem to be blindly dismissing anything that James may have done wrong or any of his flaws. This will come back to haunt DeGale in the future. Not learning from your mistakes in life leaves you on a one way ticket to nowhere... boxing is the same.
