Well Smith had a decent ranking with the WBO and WBC so kind of understandable in some ways.

 

He beat Smith who was ranked 4th i think....

 

How in the name of Emma Watson was Smith ranked 4th?:huh

I actually meant what was the justification for it. Then I remembered what sport it was and slapped myself.

As a ranking body that should tell you that having a 9 fight pro beating your number 4 guy means that you overrated Smith rather than moving DeGale into the top 10.

 

Warren Boxing Organisation - it isn't even funny anymore.

 

I think Smith could still tough it out & beat Steiglitz. He may be more likely to get his chance now.

Then re-match DeGale & get embarrassed again very probably.

 

To be fair I think DeGale could be ranked top 10 on talent if not achievement.
