Robbery my bellend, he got beaten in a close fight, deserved to lose just so it would shut his mouth, acting like an idiot, his trainer also. Taken down a peg or 10 hahahahaha, classic stuff
Do you mean to suggest a fighter cannot win on the backfoot and counter punching? Groves dictated the tempo of that fight even though he was on the back foot. He made Degale hesitant, Groves perfected his game plan while Degale spent more than half the fight trying to suss him out. Degale didn't do enough in my mind, didn't really throw combo's, didn't utilize his jab. Don't get me wrong some of these were really hard rounds to score, there were a lot of rounds which could of gone either way. By no means does this mean it's a robbery. Degale lost this fight, Groves captilised on that. Credit goes to him.
There was no robbery, you twits. DeGale was outlanded, Groves threw more too, Groves was getting in good with counterpunches and had some more effective flurries. DeGale was clearly the bigger puncher but he never landed enough to win this fight.
Robbery? That's a stretch, I had the fight a draw myself, certainly not a robbery for Groves to win by a point in my opinion.
:thumbsup exactly, that's the right view on the fight. DeGale made Groves back up, cool, Groves also still out landed him and controlled the fight most of the time.
Yea the outboxed thing was a bit embarrassing from so called experts, i clearly witnessed a different fight, ok DeGale started slow but he still won 2 of the first 4 rounds, its just the two Groves won were clear (2 & 4) but he did nothing in the second half of the fight outside round 10. Like i say, it said it all for me Jim Watt scoring it to DeGale at the end as he was pro Groves all during the fight, even all the CLEAR DeGale rounds he was saying "he has nicked it" and nonsens elike that (even the 9th when it was a Degale rd even before he hurt Groves in the last minute), was becoming irritating but by the end he was forced to score it to DeGale by a point due to his domination of 9 11 and 12. Should be an immediate rematch, but if not they will meet again down the line no doubt.
Thats not why a lot of people have it for DeGale, i bet most who have it for DeGale like me, scored it round by round and not as you say "look at the fight on a whole and draw crude conclusions thusly" atsch There is nothing crude about scoring it clear for DeGale when scoring it round by round, it's all about opinions.
Or because they saw Groves controlling the fight and shutting down what little offense DeGale had, you know, like he did. Close fight but it is not wrong to score it as a Groves win.
