He has a similar style and like Billie Joe would excell under their training style imo. Thoughts?

He is shot to shinola and has lost that little bit of speed and reflexes which made him a top fighter.

Cash out and hand em up

good shout....might prolong his career because imo he only has 1 more beating left...

going life and death for 24 rounds with Truax has proved its over

He needs to try something. His fitness is always a joke. Sitting on the ropes for majority of them 24 rounds. I think Ingle would sort his fitness out but I still don’t see what good fitness is to you if you can’t jab. Stick a fork in him he’s done.

I don’t mean any disrespect to James because he’s had a good career. Olympic gold medalist, 2x world champion, both won on the road. A very tough resume and only 2 defeats on there. He show. Great heart in the Jack fight.

    But it’s simply over.

It beggars belief why he ever went with McDonnell in the first place. I'll be honest and think with his style he'd of been better off with a totally different type of trainer.

    It's too late.

I like james and i think he had a lot of talent but he stuck with Mcdonell when this really was a case of a trainer who wasn't up to the talent level of the fighter.

He's made the same mistakes over and over and over again and frustratingly had flashes of brilliance that showed the level he could have bern at.

Anyway, old (beaten) dogs and new tricks... his time has passed.

Groves rematch (probably lose again) and retire with a nice few quid in the bank.

(But sadly i see him trying to come again even after another loss)

I think James needed a good psychologist. Wasted his career leading up to his prime trying cultivating a rude boy persona that didn't sit well with his true personality (I think he actually needs a lot of encouragement), and wasted the second half of his career signing short-sighted deals that have ensured he'll come out of a punishing career - gold medal and world champion - without being famous even on the street he lives. Bizarre.

Jumping on those Ingle PEDs is definitely worth a try now that he has a broken, faded body.

In fairness Degale has been loyal to McDonnell although he has been through the Promoters ! McDonnell is big on the conditioning with some amateur psychology thrown in , his training regimens are rumoured to be crazy ? Unfortunately looking at Degale you might suggest the playbook needs a overhaul . Everyone and his dog says the same too much time sitting on the ropes and taking way too many punches . How old is he now 31 ? Sorry even the best coach , whoever that is , would be struggling to make 10% improvement in his game and judging by the last 2 Truax fights that’s a way short of what he would have to be for any of the top 5 .
