We saw very clearly how he couldn't solve the very simple problem a moving opponent presented him. He just plodded after him and got countered for six rounds. When he got more aggressive he barely landed, he never mounted a significant offence and his only notable success came when he stepped on Groves' foot and headbutted him. DeGale just isn't that good.
First thing he needs to do is to learn to keep his mouth shut. Then, he needs to improve is his attitude and mental preparation.
I can see why you and others might think that, and I am in no way shape or form suggesting Paul Smith is brilliant but the DeGale that completely outcalssed Smith wasn't the same as the floundering clueless fighter that went in against Groves...it remains to be seen which the real Jame DeGale is...imo
Its quite simple why Groves won the fight, The facts are Groves had the harder learning fights Charles adamu that wasnt easy and Anderson is a tough ******* and i believe after the Anderson fight he smelt the coffee and worked on his temperament and controll in the ring, when to get involved when not to get involved, they really learnt alot from that fight. Lets not forget sparing with Dirrel the most skilled super middleweight in the world, you cant get better sparring than that. To top all this off Adam Booth got the plan right and stoped Degale from settleing in to his normal fast pace, great tactics, excellent win for Groves. Degale should now shut his face up and try and win people over and let his boxing do the talking in the ring.
Degale was **** he slaps to much ,and the fight with groves looked like a couple of top lads out of the AMS boxing for the computer scores
