WOuld be interesting to see what Froch thinks of this. I don't imagine his next dream opponent would be Degale...
Not having a pop at degale at all but I don't think it's good for British boxing for all the top name fighters to be under one promotion and that's the way things are heading at the minute. How are promoters meant to develop long term plans for their fighters when one company can come along whisper in their ear and get them to terminate their contract.
Sick of hearing people moanin like there as an injustice done here to Mick Degale is the fighter and he puts his life on the line, so good on him for doing whats best for him Id like to know if these people would turn down a better job with more money out of loyalty for your boss so he can make more money
I dont care. I wana see big fights. Eddie Hearn is delivering big fights. Seperate promotions nearly always lead to fights not being made, so id welcome all British fighters to sign with Hearn then we can start seeing some proper fights again
Surely them all being under one banner makes it easier for us to see the fights we really want to see?
Understand what you're saying the point I was making was that it seems like some promoters can just tap up who they want with no repercussions, maybe I wasn't making that clear. The fighters should look after number one you're completely right.
Personally would of kept him on WBC route and had bika fight before unifying so 3/4 titles will be with one guy. Just a shame none of them are the real one haha
Yeah but having only one main promoter may mean some fighters are cast aside after one career loss with nowhere else to go. In an ideal world the promoters would work together but unfortunately that's not happening. Anyway, I'm taking the thread off topic, sorry! Good luck to James it's shaping up to be a good card.
I don't but come on, do you think he's just terminated his deal when being announced as mandatory for WBC without having something lined up? Let's not be naive.
