I just seriously think that he needs to be taught how to punch. I don't think he will ever get rid of the attitude or posing and stuff like that, but his actual technical boxing ability, and simple thigs like scoring with a punch are lacking. Inside of the glove, ffs sake it's not hard

It's not even that I have a problem with posing, as such, but there needs to be some substance to it. It's the same as some of these footballers, who seem more concerned with the positioning of their alice band than actually playing the game.

In the 4th he did a little shuffle, as if to say he had set the world on fire with a brilliant performance. It ****ed me off to be honest. I am trying hard to like him as a boxer, but he needs to learn to be one before i can get there with him i think

Degale is just a big mouth, he has a **** trainer in Jim and will never progress unless he gets out of his comfort zone and heads somewhere else for his training.

I didn't watch the undercard, just Khan and Mitchells fights, but I though last time I saw Degale he looked like he was really improving. Perhaps that was just wishful thinking.

Bit harsh and over critical. Par for the course on here though it seems.
Thought he handled the guy with ease. You do come across some tough stubborn ****ers in this game you know. Do think he should be doin 6 rndrs now though and would of probablly of worn the fella down over another cple of sessions.

yea heard degale was pretty **** last night aswell. Don't really rate him anyways, anyone who follows amateur boxing knows that degale was not actually the best in his weight, which is why he only did well at one tournament, although i was impressed he beat Sutherland, he was **** at the commenwealths and thw worlds, and wasn't even the best in the UK at his weight, George Groves is a far better boxer IMO.
Also, the 3 min rounds would not have suited degale, so he's lucky he went pro when he did!

Just read a report that said he was a pissed off about having two rounds cut from his fight and lost a lot of motivation because of that. I dont want to sound like a Degale fan boy but I do think that probably is true but he did look like **** yesterday horrible punching technique, I hope to see better next time.

My main point has been that he seems to struggle with the basics at the moment. On his debut, he was warned by the ref for hitting incorrectly, and it has happened again, so much so that darke and watt mentioned it (not that i agree with much that they say, but they were right on this point)
I am sorry, but before anyone starts discussing what tile he should fight for, or whether 4 or six rounders are right for him at this stage, he needs to do the simple things right. :deal

DeGale's punching technique was laughably bad last night. It was like he was swinging an invisible handbag most of the time.

I'm no expert, but I would say he needs to be taught how to throw a punch properly, just to avoid being laughed at.
