DeGale v Groves Scorecards

I had it 115-113 to Groves, no even rounds.

Don't have my round scoring, but there was one really close round when I didn't quite have full focus, 114-114 would've been fair, as well as 115-113 in the other direction IMO.

Won't be rushing to re-watch and re-score though, the decision was fair.

The 5th was the key round & the 7+8 were close. If you scored all 3 even DeGale wins by a round

2 out of 3 judges & ESB cant be wrong:deal

 

general consensus from the pub (was just like the old days - brilliant night) was a draw, but given that was so unlikely at that level then de gale would prob be given it. you won't be surprised that the place erupted when groves got the nod!
do you think that american judges may have been a determining factor? i.e. that they possibly judge a fight slightly differently from us brits? also it seeemd that de gale was 'slapping' his jab again on several occasions.would that have been noticed and counted against him?

 

I think I had it a draw (I have a poor memory) Round 1 & 7 were toss ups but I wasn't surprise Groves got the nod I had a feeling his work in the 1st half of the fight won give him the edge.

 

well i was away for the weekend and its actually the first time i have listened to a full fight on the radio.....it sounded to me like Groves had the better of it and tactically had the better gameplan and frustrating DeGale into making mistakes.

Sounded like a good fight disapointed I missed it.

 

7 & 8 were Groves just about in my opinion. 5 more debatable then those.

116-113 Groves. On 2nd watch could see peoples arguement for DeGale winning round 12 which would make it 115-114 Groves but still thought the round was even

 

The groves degale judges were british. The american and peurto ricans were only used in the clev and gavin fights

 

Don't have my card or anything, but I said at the time and still say it was 115-113 Groves.

I know I gave DeGale rounds 11 & 12, but it was too late by that point.

 

How did epix score this? or did they use sky commentary.??

 

I had Groves winning by 1 point but a DeGale win or a draw would have been fair IMO

 

The hardest rds to score for me were 3 5 7

Those are the ones i changed on second viewing and maybe could again when i next watch it, i initially had 3 a close Degale rd but changed it to Even, i had 5 a Degale rd but changed it to Groves and had 7 a Degale rd and changed it to Even which left me with Degale by 2 pts..

Scored it Groves 115-113 when in the arena and pissed.
