Degale vs Dirrell

It's like Judah vs Mayweather on a lower level, Dirrell is Judah, with the speed and hit and run tactics, Degale is the stand-off fighter who makes adjustments and counters you, who also has fast hands and better D. Dirrell is so limited its unreal, you guys dont even see it.

 

DeGale isn't far off, but I don't want to see him being rushed by Warren, e.g. Khan...there are some big punchers at 168lbs, and DeGale's defense isn't quite there yet.

I think Dirrell stepped up big time after the Froch bout, and yeah...I'd probably favour him in a rematch. Pity he didn't want to fight his mate. I actually picked him to beat Ward.

 

Dirrell looked simply awesome against Abraham, Earl. He was effectively doing what DeGale did to Smith...only Abraham was favoured as being perhaps the best Super Middleweight in the world at the time.

There is no denying that DeGale has been impressive, but he is not the finished article, and gets caught with silly, silly shots. He is out to impress the public when he should be fighting for himself at this point. He should be trying to pick up as much experience as possible rather than racing his way to a World title shot.

Direll did look good against abraham, until abraham let his hands go, and then came the running, falling over and hugging, he was on his way to getting sparked imo.

Then in the very next fight, Froch stood straight in front of abraham and cut his balls off, so how much do we read into Dirrell's performance

 

Agreed. DeGale should clear up at European level and get this domestic tussle with Groves over and done with before he thinks about World honours.

We'll get a good hold on James DeGales talents when we see how well he deals with Groves. I expect utter domination, personally.

 

Froch said he was going to use the blueprint Dirrell forged to beat Abraham...how much do we read into that?

 

Right now, Ward would be dreadful fight for degale

Also i want to see him take a solid shot before i put him in with a banger at 168, but honestly i'd pick him over dirrell right now, i might be wrong, but i'm confident in that pick, I don't think Dirrell has the mentality, that Judah comparrison is about more than styles, If Dirrell starts getting outboxed which i think he would, i think he'd flip.

 

Yeah, too early for Groves IMO...couple years down the line, if Groves improves...

But yeah, DeGale has progressed a lot quicker. Groves seems to have decent pop though, may have his moments. But I expect DeGale to be too quick and too good.

Ofcourse it's a different fight, because Froch doesn't have the athletic ability Dirrell has...but he stuck to his boxing after he made that statement.

 

Down more to his loss to kessler than anything dirrell did imo.

he probably said that to get into abrahams head
