When Dondana said he heard they could do it, I thought he meant push it back.

The BBoBC is a ****in' joke. How can they let two promoters from the same promotional outfit make separate bids? And then if one of them has bid more than they needed to see off the competition (i.e. FW) he can pull out and then his buddy gets the fight! What a joke. If Coldwell pulls out he should be fined and bids re-opened with Coldwell not allowed to bid.

    Mad isn't it.

    Coldwell pulls out.

Booth gets it for cheaper

It should be offered to Booth at the same price that Coldwell bid.

If he says no it goes to the third highest bidder (Warren?).

    Then fourth etc..................

If none of them want it at the price Coldwell bid, it starts again without him.

Ah, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing!

Presumably you think the same about the recent Barker-Macklin bids then...when Warren and a long time associate of his put in separate bids?

no i think it was pretty much carbon copy of what were seeing here , long time associate that might not have any official capacity as a promoter in the respective companys

Err, I don't know the details on that but if it was the same situation of course I would think the same about it. My main point was that the BBoBC need to tighten up their regulations, I wasn't siding with FW against Hayemaker.

No need to be patronising, though, is there?

Coldwell and Booth are probably pulling a fast one over the bids now they are 1 and 2 in the bidding (who can blame them?) but I don't see how it effects Warrens bid in this situation?

Booth and Coldwell still bid more than than Warren for the fight. If Coldwell hadn't made the high bid then Warren still wouldn't have got the fight.

    Dave Coldwell today

“With regards to winning the purse bid for Groves vs DeGale, me and Adam both hold promoters licenses and so are both entitled to put bids in. I'm head of boxing for Hayemaker but that didn't stop me from being the name promoter for Hayemaker shows like Rhodes vs Coyle and Haye vs Barrett at the O2 Arena. It’s no secret that I’ve worked with Adam on George from the start of his career but I’m the name promoter on this show and I’ve got about a week to find a date and a venue. There’s a lot of speculation about the fight but all I’ll say is that it’s going to be in April. I’m going to make the announcement when the time is right. It’s the most eagerly anticipated domestic fight out there and I don’t think anyone can remember a rivalry like this with two prospects that are both champions, that hate each other us much as they do. I’m sure the relevant broadcasters will cover it and the tickets will fly out, so watch this space!”
