If you ask who's the dude who voted on Groves by decision - it was me, by accident. I got Chunky winning on points.
Groves is hard. To hard für DeGeale. I think, DeGeale cant fight whit Guys, they throwing back. But Groves is a real fighter and will kill him inside 8 rounds.
I really hope Groves wins this. DeGale is one of the most arrogant people I have ever seen in boxing.
I had Groves winning until the Anderson & Smith fights, now I'm going with DeGale by stoppage. A couple of things though are important: Groves: an average chin and a very leaky defence, but has balls and his heart and resolve has been tested and he proved that he is willing to gut it out. DeGale: Superb technical skills, has come along way after a poor pro debut and learned very quickly, only problem is his chin hasn't been tested and he hasn't been made to gut out a victory like Groves has. So plus and minus for both fighters, if DeGale manages to deal with Groves' left hook to the body then I think DeGale stops him because Groves' defence, although showed slight improvement in his last fight, is still still shipping right hands.
DeGale is actually a really nice lad.... just a bit dim and not great in front of the camera. Anyway.... he'd stop Groves inside six. Anderson let a beaten Groves off the hook, DeGale wouldn't.
I too thought Groves would probably beat DeGale, but his stock fell off when Anderson almost knocked him out. I've got James DeGold to win by a mid to late stoppage, ATM. It might change as it gets closer to fight time, but I've got DeGale.
Notice how no Americans really reply to these threads. I'd put Degale ahead of Groves in terms of counter punching ability and putting combinations together he's a class apart. Not to mention I think Degale has faster hand speed and will beat Groves to the punch. It won't be as one sided as people think and Groves will cause Degale some troubles on the inside with his body punches but I fancy Degale on late stoppage after Groves gets dismantled after a bright start.
