James DeGale MBE will make the fourth defence of his IBF Super-Middleweight World Championship against Caleb Truax at London’s Copper Box Arena on Saturday 9th December. On the same evening, Welshman Lee Selby will make the fourth defence of his IBF Featherweight World Championship against undefeated Mexican Eduardo Ramirez, both fights will be shown live on BT Sport and BoxNation. Ramirez (20-0-3, 7 KOs) is a 24-year-old southpaw from Los Mochis, Sinola, Mexico with fast hands and a solid defence. He is managed and trained by Montiel Jr., brother of the five-time World Champion and former Selby challenger Fernando Montiel.
Is that Ramirez guy any good or is this yet another showxcase fight? Imagine Degale vs Truax being competitive lol With Chunky you never know
I haven't seen Ramirez fight, but on paper it looks more compelling than Degale vs Truax, i mean Truax's last noble opponent was Anthony Dirrell and Dirrell blew him out in the first round last year.
degale fight is below average at best... truax at best is a B- OR B level boxer.. being kind and giving him above a c lol
The DeGale match is a grotesque mismatch, he should be ashamed of fighting such a bum. Truax stands zero chance, this match would be acceptable if DeGale was going to fight again in January, but seeing how this is probably one of Chunky's 2 matches he'll probably have in the next year, what a waste, James isn't getting any younger. The only thing I'm looking forward to about this match is seeing DeGale hot ass sister in the crowd, but sadly this is so bad, she might not even show up.
