DeGale come across as angry about his training team in the after fight interview, anyone else pick up on that? I reckon Degale and Jim Mac are going their separate ways. I might been reading too much into it, but he was looking for someone to blame.

I was shocked at how poor he looked. His jab was non existent, much like the Jack fight actually. At least in that fight he threw flurries and looked busy, even though he was hitting Jack’s gloves. Against Truax he looked gassed, his footwork and movement were limited. He was throwing single shots, his timing and speed was dreadful.

I’m still shocked. I expected a bit of ring rust but I thought pre-fight that he’d get him out of there by the mid rounds.

Hearn must be laughing his head off.De Gale has ****ed Up badly.I dont think This guy will give him the rematch he will look for a cash out and i doubt Al Haymon/Warren will put the money up.I see a legit point with the Shoulder and Haye Resemblance.Could the Badou Jack fight been his last hurrah. After that,DeGale's Value has diminished significantly.I think the plan was to beat this guy then go back to Hearn and Sky building up to a PPV Fight against Eubank/Groves Winner. He aint no Box Office fighter now,he better hope he gets a rematch or he is ****ed

Tell you one thing everyone will be lining up to fight Traux, as he's a genuine fighter but lacks quality. DeGale who honestly thought Carl Froch was scared of him lol, lucky it wasn't a 40 year old Froch in there with him tonight as he would have been knocked out inside 6 rounds.

Interestingly I seen Tyson Fury say he thinks DeGale looked over trained and not carrying enough water. Either way they must have seen in training camp his right hand wasn't working right

He’s got to change something after that fight mate. If he can’t throw out a strong jab then his career at the top level is over imo. He couldn’t hold the centre of the ring without a jab, hence him moving back onto the ropes. First few rounds his feet got him out of trouble but once he started to blow, he was way too easy to close down.

Totally agree. Froch would have leathered him tonight.

I thought that mate. It must have been obvious in training that he couldn’t throw a jab. I’m shocked that they let him go into that fight like that. He badly needed to switch stances and throw out the left hand as a jab instead imo. Although that just papers over the cracks rather than fixes anything.

Truax is a tough fighter but very basic and a former middle and if he can't push him back how's he gonna push all the champions back they are big guys with power he needs to get the rematch and prove his still got it because after the fight he looked broken like he knew his career at the top level was over imo

I found it hilarious. He's been a disgrace to British boxing, much like Saunders and Fury.

what was telling was when his coach said "it's close" and he replied "but i'm winning though"

Degale looked finished tonite. I m not the guys biggest fan tbh. But in his defence..hes went on the road and fought some top level competition with Dirrell, Bute, Medina and jack.

Traux wasn't quite the journeyman he was made out to be. Only guys that have really beaten him were Dirrell, Jacobs and Jermaine Taylor. Pretty much top fighters. Went 12 with Taylor and Jacobs who I think stopped him in the twelfth but took some rounds. Dirrell iced him in one which can happen to anyone at that level.

In hindsight its been a silly fight to take for a comeback...think degale can come back from this...but your left wondering how much these competitive fights have taken out of him.

At least the guys had a go.

Not like a lot of fighters that hide it out for years looking for the least resistance.

You can't help but like Truax, a good honest straightforward boxer, doing it for his family

He is not going to set the world alight, but deserves a few good paydays

    Gale deserved to lose

    Hahahahahahahahahahahaha.

The boys are back in town!

I fell asleep during the Selby fight so only just seen Degale now. He’s just lost to a middleweight. He’s finished.

Frank was relying on these two to peg back Hearn?! **** me.

Loads of empty seats too. Hope Warrington can sell 40k tickets because it’s going to be embarrassing in Elland Road because Selby isn’t selling any.

Degale, Haye, Khan and Brook just all need to pack it in now.

Their best days are behind them and all just risking further damage to their health.
