Excellent performance, don't understand the hate he gets and how he's not allowed to use the ring and slip punches at all? He always controlled the pace and landed clean punches to body and head any time he chose.

Why must he always have to be throwing punches when Bute isn't himself and missing every punch he does throw. Maybe because he looks a little bit more awkward than Floyd while he is switching between stances, but that was absolutely quality.. Definitely a top 10 p4p fighter and best Brit.

I sort of agree. My 1st time seeing a complete fight of his and I was impressed.

I think Brooks is a better fighter overall. I'm still not too impressed with DeGale. I'm more impressive with his sister.

I really like Brook too and probably have him as #2. James is just so fluent in offence to defence in there, it's amazing. He's got that Lomachenko feel to him (fellow Olympic gold medalist).

I saw alot of good stuff from Chunky, I'd just like to see his conditioning continue to improve so he'll be good for a hard 12 rounds when it's called for.

They're both possibly the best in their respective divisions and I think it's hard to decide who is best of the two. I'd like to see Brook fight some more quality opposition. DeGale has just fought two very difficult opponents in a row.

Definitely like the way he transitions between stances and slips punches. The way he used his shoulder to turn away from Bute when he had his backs to the ropes as well was effective. I see Degale giving a lot of fighters fits remember Bute was a cruiserweight in there. Would not mind seeing Degale move up and at least make LHW's look bad, he also beats Ward who was scared of Bute.

I will stick to my original decision that degale and ward is a 50/50 fight ;-)

I don't think that Bute is that hard to hit but DeGale's awkward style seems to be more effective than I originally thought. I thought his fight with Dirrell showed how much Dirrell had declined but maybe it showed how good DeGale is. Oh yes, I also thought his sister was stunning from what was shown of her.

Good fighter is Deal but there's something about him in which I can't warm to him.
