Really? He's been getting hit with ease in his past few bouts.

Once Chunky gets polished, watch out because that height-leverage and straight left down the pipe will make some noise! I think he has a solid future; I just hope they don't shelter him or try and turn him into something he's not.

He seems to have some deceptive "dig" to his wide array of punches and is brilliant at shifting speeds on the combo's and turns. I like how he never squares up and stays at that 45 degree angle, semi-crouch. He reminds me so much of a young Michael Nunn with his defense as well. I also like how he hasn't got bored in the ring since the head gear and oversized gloves came off - bright future for this kid!

I think the reason Degale looks crap at times is he is not boxing the natural way.

He is forcing himself to be a slick counter puncher in the pocket like a Whittaker or a Mayweather. But that is not the style that has won him success, he is a stand up boxer with good movement and fast combinations. And he must never forget that.

Very true. Howevever he needs to learn to be able to stand in the pocket cos this is the pros. But you are right, boxing and moving is what he does best.

He shows he can do it abit, sure there will be times when he has to stand his ground, but it shouldnt be every 4 seconds should it?

Thats true, A lot of good amateurs do that.... Change up there style to try and suit the pro ranks.... AMir Khan did it, and now hes gone back to his natural style which done him well in the Amatuers.....

That ain't really true u gotta change up your style, u just gotta use your head a bit more and try to conserve your energy.... Or you can just go all out and get super fit.....

There's this big confusion about Amatuer boxing and Pro boxing..... there aint no difference except u got no head guard and its for 12 rounds.....

If you know how to fight you know how to fight...... u just gotta work on a few things because the fight is for longer...

A little yeah, although i think Nunn used his legs a lot more than De Gale and had better balance, but i can see where your coming from in regards to the way he fended off punches and stayed in the pocket sometimes.

The one negative trait they do seem to share is a lack of focus in the ring, well i would not say its a lack of focus on De Gale's part but more an over confident/complacent mindset, either way they both seem to be lacking something upstairs to fulfill their true potential.
