i would think duran was not prepared as probably unmotivated and dejesus was to good a fighter to not take serious

Silly question deserves a silly answer :good

Of course, it was no fluke. De Jesus was brilliant. Infact, as his best, I'd put him forward as a top fifteen lightweight of all time; to beat certain greats such as Joe Brown, Beau Jack and Tony Canzoneri.

    :rofl

I was gunna say this to him the other day. Funny.

Anyway, on the thread, no way was this a fluke. Dejesus was a quality, likely great lightweight, he started off with a bit of the same in the rematch with Duran also. No chance this was a fluke, a great lightweight rivalry.

Not so much a fluke, the guy was a great fighter himself & Duran had a bit of an off night, Duran might even have took him lightly but that doesnt exactly = fluke.

I thought it was a fair question and it's not like I'm a fan of either fan so there's no motive here with me just curious on others views on the matter.

Of course I've seened it's the inspiration for my user name.:deal

DeJesus fought his best fight on a unmotivated but still dangerous Duran who was still learning

NO, Esteban caught Roberto at the right moment, and beat him, and hurt his feelings.
