Del boy is slowly becoming my favourite fighter

 

He's got a bit of self-respect! He said in the article, he's not just in it for the money, and how would it have looked if he'd have taken the bait.
To me it shows his mind is in the right place. He is focused on the job in hand.

It would have become such a storm in the media if he had taken 70k, and got sparked. It would make him a laughing stock. Good on Del for sticking to making money the old fashioned way.

 

Anybody who questions why he snubbed it, doesn't know much about the mental side of the game.

 

He must have a fragile ego then.

 

this is bull**** Klitschko aint making 2.5 million euros, in his last fights he has taken home $15 million + and most likely will be the case here, it's difficult to say what del boy is on but I would like to think atleast £500-750k+

 

The fighter's psyche is a fragile thing. I totally respect his decision to turn this down and it can only be more psychological ammo for him.

I think the Fury fight gave him the kick up the arse he needed, he was out of shape that night and he lost fair and square, since then he has shown an improvement.

 

That's two fights so far, 3 at the weekend.

Maybe it has, but I still don't like how casual he is when he talks about his career. That may be him, but doesn't fill me with confidence. I doubt he's the type to study videos of his opponents etc.
